  • Needle felting utilizes a sharp, barbed needle that binds wool fibers together to create a structure. It’s much like sculpting, but using wool instead of clay. There is no pattern to follow, there are no stitches to count. Each piece is completely hand made from start to finish.

  • Needle felting is an art that takes some time. Even the smallest of items tend to take 30-45 minutes. A specialty piece tends to take weeks to complete.

  • Yep! Frequently. And yes, it does hurt.

  • Product prices are determined in part by the cost of the materials required, but also takes into consideration the time spent making it. I generally charge around $8 an hour for things, but may charge more or less depending on the project/circumstance.

  • The interested party will send me a description of the product that they are looking for. I take a deposit for 25% of the projected overall cost for the product. As materials come in, and as the process of making the product goes along, I will stay in contact with the buyer. Expect that I will send pictures and ask questions frequently to ensure that the product is made to their satisfaction. Once the product is complete, I will send pictures of the finished product to ensure the buyer is happy with the work, and will take final payment at the time of shipping.
